Jellyfish are one of the most popular fish in the aquarium world. They’re mysterious, calming, and require specialized aquariums. Normally displayed in large cylinders and pseudokreisels, these systems are designed to cater to the needs of jellyfish. You’ll notice these displays have no corners and very gentle flow so as not to damage the jelly’s bell. As we all now, jellyfish lack brains, so they’re unable to maneuver like other fish to avoid swimming into things.
Their babies require an even more specialized system. For over a decade now, we’ve been using the MRC mini kreisel, which is a tiny version of the big one, produced specifically for breeding and small display purposes. Matt Pederson interviewed SEA Atlanta in the Reefbuilder’s review of the mini kreisel. If you’re interested in breeding fish (not just jellies), give us a call and we’d be happy setup a system that’ll help you thrive in that endeavor.
